As a health care
consultant, Carol Reimer has worked on projects regarding health care access in developing countries, funding models for health resources, rural health, cost-comparisons between models, health care resourcing, community health, and other projects. As a health
educator, Carol has taught in the classroom as a UNB Nursing instructor, has facilitated online courses in Occupational Health/Wellness, and has taught home support workers employed in the home health care field.
As a leader
in the health system, Carol
has provided strategic
leadership for teams in many
settings, including home
health and institutional care. She has experienced the health care system as a health care professional, as a patient, and as an advisor.
Carol's education started with a BScN in Nursing, and she maintains her RN designation. Carol also earned a MSc in the University of Calgary's Faculty of Medicine. She worked in the field of community health for a more than a decade in Alberta, working in schools, with seniors, and in a downtown urban setting (Calgary).
Carol Reimer has served on a number of boards, including
Horizon Health, a corporate board, an international NGO board, and a non-profit organization, working at the local, national, and international level.
Carol Reimer and her
husband Ken live in Fredericton
where they have raised their three kids, enjoying and participating in the life of this great community. |
